Description
The Anchor Pipe offers a reliable solution for anchoring nets in areas where standard installation surfaces are not available, such as dirt or paver decks. This pipe is compatible with .73 Standard Brass Keyhole Anchors or Threaded Brass Anchors, which are not included and must be purchased separately.
For dirt installations, concrete footings are required to securely set the Anchor Pipes. When installing on paver decks, while an Anchor Pipe can be used, a coping installation is recommended for optimal anchor retention.
Installation of the Anchor Pipe involves carefully fitting the brass anchor into the recessed ridge of the pipe. This process may require tools like a vice or bench grinder and should ideally be done before arriving at the job site to save time. Additionally, Anchor Pipes should be spaced closer together than standard anchors to ensure they can sustain the necessary tension and load on the net.
For a polished installation, the Anchor Pipe can be inserted into a 1-1/4″ Deck Sleeve with the base cut off, providing a snug fit and a clean surface finish as the sleeve flares over the drilled hole, concealing any imperfections.
